Another situation that hospital staff and caregivers encounter is when a patient becomes agitated and tries to remove different tubes and drips. Sometimes clenched fists can cause damage to the patient's delicate skin.
One way of gently managing a patient's hands to prevent injury is to use hand protectors.
As Dignified Designs, I created some hand protectors that do not have a medical look but do the job. I attached a soft object. In this case, I attached a small plush toy with velcro. The result was a more agreeable approach.
